CPP Renewal

Since we have transitioned to expiration dates being on birth dates, the first CPP certification period is calculated from the initial date of certification and the birth date in the second year. For example, if a CPP has an initial certification date of 3/14/2022, and their birth date is 2/14, their expiration date will be on 2/14/2024. This initial certification period is for only 23 months. All subsequent renewal expiration dates will fall on birth dates every two years.

The renewal process is designed to assist the CPP in maintaining and expanding competence. CPP credential holders are expected to submit their renewal materials prior to their expiration date. The PSCBW will strive to send a reminder to the CPP credential holder at the CPP’s last known mailing or email address, 30-60 days prior to the expiration date of his/her certification. It is the responsibility of the CPP to notify the PSCBW of any contact changes such as name, mailing address, email address and phone number. Changes can be sent via the Contact Us page. Lack of communication with the PSCBW about such changes could delay the renewal process.
